Christmas is Coming

The 39th Annual Christmas Concert is scheduled for December 11th, Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm and Monday evening,  December 12th at 7:30 pm.  Many of you attended this annual concert last year, and may recall that it was so very crowded, there were not enough seats!  This year we are prepared! While the concert is still free and open to the public, you need to reserve your seats.  Between the addition of another performance and the request for reservations, we believe there will be a seat for everyone! With the choir including 160 boys, the parents and families of these fine choristers  should be comfortable for a great performance this year.  We look forward to seeing you at our Annual Christmas Concert and you will be very pleased!Christmasall

Summer is Coming!

FBphotoWe are excited about the 6th Annual The Taste of Birmingham! Please mark your calendars and save the date! July 28th, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 pm at The Club in Birmingham, we will celebrate The Taste of Birmingham. The 6th year for this event is shaping up to be as fabulous as the last 5 – maybe even better! John and Phyllis Pelham were the co-chairs of this event from its inception, but have handed over the event this year to Dr. Elizabeth Peters, Chairperson of the 2016 The Taste of Birmingham. Dr. Peters is not only a Board Member for the Birmingham Boys Choir, she is also the parent of a chorister and an active fan of the BBC! With a great team, the event planning is in full force. David Malone will MC for us again this year. The members of the Taste of Birmingham Committee are Dr. Peters, David Malone, Charlotte Rumore, Veronica Wehby-Upchurch, Mary Rooney, Rashikia Washington and Anne Rand. These Board Members are excited about the flagship fundraiser of the BBC. 21 Restaurants will join us, donating 400 samples of their signature dishes. Guests get to mingle around the Grand Ballroom of The Club, tasting, visiting with friends, listening to music and ultimately voting on their favorite savory, sweet and the all-around best dish, known as the “Taster’s Choice” award. The Birmingham Boys Choir will sing, under the direction of Mr. Ken Berg. A Silent Auction will be ongoing during the evening with vacations, wine, jewelry, football tickets, and other wonderful surprises! Raffle tickets will be sold for $1.00 each for chances to win a bottle of champagne, a Publix giftcard, Tickets to the McWane Center and a free ticket for the Taste of Birmingham 2017. The evening ends with an incredible Fireworks show! We hope that you can join us for this wonderful event. Tickets are available on our website and at Eventbrite
